Independence Television maintains Public, Education and Government local cable channels located in Independence Township Michigan. Independence Television is created for and by the residents of Independence Township. In 2013 Independence Television formed an agreement with Clarkston Community School, which merge the township's video services with the schools. As a result Independence Television is able to be more active in the community and many of Clarkston High Schools home games for Football and basketball are filmed. We are governed by a Video Center Administrative board which meets 4 times per year. To learn more about our staff, you can visit our Staff page. We are available to serve your needs. We encourage any resident who would like to create a show to contact us and refer to ITV producers Guide. Even if creating a show is not what you want, you can request us to cover an event or just be trained on a piece of equipment.
Independence Television is your community media resource for you, the community, to get involved. You may see us out covering various events and think of us like a news station. But anyone in Clarkston, Independence, and Springfield townships can actually check out equipment and even produce a show with us. We have a fully operational studio equipped with a green screen and state of the art technology available at any time for the community. ITV staff is here to assist your vision and handle all the technical aspects. Making content with us can be something you do weekly, monthly, or annually. Maybe, you’re just looking to see how a TV studio operates, and that is okay too. We are located in Clarkston High School, if you have an interest in learning more you can swing by or call us.
